After a long wait journalist Dieter and his wife Esther´s wish for children is finally coming true. There joy is twofold, as they´re expecting twins. Everything is planned, but one problem remains. Who stays at home to look after the two babies? Both are successful in their jobs. Esther works as a lawyer and recently started her own chancellery, not a good moment for a maternity leave. So Dieter takes the conscious decision to stay at home and he starts to look forward to his parental leave: Having a relaxed breakfast with the children in the morning, going to the playground, and in the afternoons, when the babies take their nap, he has time to work on his long planned special edition. That is how he imagines his parental “holiday”. A few months later, the reality looks a little bit different than expected. Dieter’s backlog of sleep drives him crazy. In between consoling and feeding the kids, changing their nappies and visiting various toddler groups, he has no time to work on his special. Esther gets jealous because of Dieter's new acquaintance, another mother from the playground. When she finds out that her husband is working besides his parental leave, she feels betrayed and the situation escalades into veritable quarrel.
