The energetic Dorothee Auer starts her job as new mayor of a picturesque town on Lake Constance. Her desire to breathe fresh wind into the community, however, invokes the displeasure of the local cleargy because the Catholic priest has entirely different ideas than her as to what is good for his community. Each follows a different path to achieve the best for their small town. And each is not above putting stones in the other’s way – until finally the matter explodes in their faces. The priest’s brother, Tillman Hund, attempts to reconcile the pair and in the process takes a personal interest in the resolute lady mayor. After all, it will be a folk music festival that brings the peace and love back to town.
