Johanna is excited about the upcoming visit of her friend and colleague Karen who she knows from university.  Finally somebody she can talk to about the good old days and someone who will support her in making an important decision: Johanna – together with her son -   finally has decided to move in with her boyfriend Daniel Winterberg at his equestrian stables. When Johanna receives a lucrative offer all her plans go belly up. Johanna becomes doubtful that she will have a future with Daniel. In the meantime her girlfriend Karen has ignited spring fever in Fritz Senholzer (Siegfried Rauch), feelings which do not go unnoticed by Fritz’s wife Marie (Johanna von Koczian).  At the Bergmeierhof things are heating up as well.  Leo has met Gundula (Nicole Beutler) on line and invites her for a few days to his farm. His daughter Verena is not happy about this idea and makes live very difficult for the unwanted visitor.  While Leo is injured in a fall and Johanna is not at her practice Karen quickly takes care of him. Back in her office Karen discovers that Karen has prescribed a certain type of medication to Leo which can cause a life-threatening adverse reaction - but Johanna can prevent the worst and saves him.  Alarmed by Karen’s dangerous oversight Johanna notices inconsistencies in Karen’s behavior. Her observations increase and she starts to have a terrible suspicion…
