Leona, lector in a publishing house, has just called her husband Wolfgang on her mobile to announce happily that she has found their dream house, when a young woman falls onto the pavement in front of her and dies in her arms. Eva plunged from the third floor, although her last words to Leona do not suggest that she intended to commit suicide. Distraught by this experience, Leona hopes to be comforted by Wolfgang that evening - but he explains that he has fallen in love with a woman called Nicole and is moving out. Leona’s world falls apart. As she makes some enquiries about the dead woman she meets her brother, Robert, an extremely charming man who provides her with precisely what she had least expected in this desolate situation: passionate love. But this period of being happily in love is overshadowed by Robert’s tendency to over-react in extreme and aggressive kind. He wants Leona all for himself. Wolfgang realizes that his wife is in great danger and does everything he can to win her back.
