Anna has just taken her daughter Natalie to the railway station; she is going abroad on a school exchange program for a year. It is now that Rolf tells his wife he wants to start a new life with a younger woman. Dazed and deeply hurt, Anna packs her bag and seeks refuge with her father in the idyllic village where she grew up. Here that she meets up again with her teenage love Nick, who together with his little daughter lives in a beautiful house by the lake.
Before long Anna and Nick find their way back to their old familiarity. Meanwhile Rolf has come to realize that his affair was a complete mistake and begs his wife to come back to him. On top of that Anna finds out that she is pregnant.
