Love is Not an Argument (1983)

A woman at about 40, married for the last 20 years to a successful lawyer and herself head of a design studio, falls in love with a younger man. He is the boyfriend of her daughter, Katharina - a vacillating young man who can't break away from the pressure imposed on him by his family, who want him to enter his father's business.

Love is the great theme of this film, in which all the characters express love - in their fashion. But this love isn't any help, it doesn't save anything or avert any disasters. This love is simply no argument.
