On 30th November 2002,  in the fourth episode of “Laughing is Good for You - Comedy for UNICEF” presenter Dirk Bach, along with stars of the German comedy scenes such as Ingo Appelt, Maren Kroyman, Rüdiger Hoffmann, Anke Engelke, Ingolf Lück, Gabi Decker, Elmar Brandt and many others, proved that laughter really can be hugely beneficial. The sum donated - €1.74 million - far exceeded the amount raised in previous years. The UNICEF ambassadors this year, Katja Riemann, Dieter Pfaff and Hardy Krüger Jr., were not the only ones to greet this news with pride and pleasure; the celebrities who mounted the phone lines and accept the donations, people like Moritz Bleibtreu, Barbara Schöneberger, Hella von Sinnen, Tina Ruland, Axel Schulz, Claudine Wilde, Gaby Hauptmann and others, were also delighted.
