His report card in school reads: "Willi Klein is a dreamer. In serious danger of failing High School”. And in fact, when Willi joins a gang of neo-Nazis his failure to graduate has already become fact and is not a result of his political radicalization. Willy, the "zero", who is as interested in communicating with his social environment as this environment is interested in interacting with him. He is long gone and has escaped into a world of military tanks and heroic battles. He wants to escape the anonymous world of the cold concrete, his Berlin neighborhood known as “Märkisches Viertel”. A neighborhood where only the graffiti on the walls – dismissed as “scribbling” by the locals – are the last reminders of a wailful aggression. Without any hope for a stable environment and human warmth Willi’s descent into a dangerous subculture is simply a logical consequence of the life he is born into.
