For the past thirty years Juliane Kostner has relished her life as chief buyer in the haute couture section of a luxury department store. Her only daughter Henrike, mother of little Nils and Sarah, doesn’t share her lifestyle. Instead, she favors healthy nourishment and eco-clothes. When pregnant-with-twins Henrike falls ill and must spend some months in a hospital, grandma is asked by her son in law Martin to help look after the kids. But Juliane is anything but a mindful grandparent. She forgets to pick Sarah up at school, lets Nils stuff himself with junk food, and neglects her work at the department store as well – to the point of messing up an order and losing her job. With the help of the friendly eco-neighbor Johann, however, she wins even the heart of Henrike as a grandmother worth having around.
