Do-it-yourself Queen Monica Nagel (Christine Neubauer) cannot believe her eyes. Her bosses (Jürgen Heinrich) newly purchased Malorcan Finca, which she had planned to renovate herself as part of a media stunt is a construction-site disaster. The Do-it-yourself queen, self-help book author and spokesperson for the Timmermann family company had planned a media blitz in order to help the Timmermamn company to get a foot in the door of the Spanish market. The trouble is – unbeknownst to her publisher and Mr. Timmermann – that the famed Do-it-yourself Queen is all thumbs. She could not even switch a light bulb to save her life. Nor can she hang wallpaper up, paint walls or strip wooden floors. Her boss hired a team of construction workers, including foreman Lars (Tobias Licht). Mona’s attempts to fool the construction workers and to pretend she knows her way around a constructions site are very short-lived.
