On November 30 2002, in the fourth episode of “Laughter is Good for You - Comedy for UNICEF” presenter Dirk Bach, along with stars of the German comedy scenes such as Ingo Appelt, Maren Kroyman, Rüdiger Hoffmann, Anke Engelke, Ingolf Lück, Gabi Decker, Elmar Brandt and many others, proved that laughter really can be hugely beneficial. The show raised a total of 1.74 million Euros – an amount that exceeded any totals of previous years by far. The UNICEF ambassadors this year, Katja Riemann, Dieter Pfaff and Hardy Krüger Jr., were not the only ones who were pleased and proud about such good news. Several celebrities who worked the phone lines to ask for donations, people like Moritz Bleibtreu, Barbara Schöneberger, Hella von Sinnen, Tina Ruland, Axel Schulz, Claudine Wilde, Gaby Hauptmann and others, were equally delighted to be a part of this tremendous team effort.
