Anna Christeiner lives with her little daughter Elise and her mother Zensi in the Alpine village of Hohenfels in East Tirol. She can make ends meet by renting guest rooms and
selling land produce. But when Mayor Stadlhuber threatens to ruin this idyllic region by building a high-ski-lift, she refuses to sell the piece of land needed to complete the project. Johannes Wallner is sent by the construction engineer to help persuade Anna to change her mind. Fifteen years ago, Johannes had left Hohenfels after a quarrel with his mother Leni and brother Markus. But when he discovers the true nature of the project, he joins Anna in her fight to save the region from being so ravaged.
