A mysterious child, a young married couple with a host of problems, and a sect which lays claim to not only their sect members’ money but also to their souls. These are the ingredients for a thriller which takes its protagonists on a voyage of discovery from Rome to Berlin, a gruesome and dangerous journey into the world of religious sects and their seductive powers. The fictitious story of Oscar and Alice as told in this film is based on research conducted over many months by the director, Cinzia TH Torrini, and her co-author Silvia Napolitano,  into a wide variety of sects in Italy, France and Germany.
