Ruth Feldmann is planning to go away for a dirty weekend with her boyfriend, the police officer Andreas Bongart. She tells her husband Karl, a sergeant in the police, that she has to visit her sick sister for a few days. Karl decides that he will take advantage of his wife’s absence to invite pretty policewoman Daniela over for lunch while the coast is clear. However, before Ruth can set off for a bit of hanky-panky the two gangsters Schelling and Kramberg appear on the doorstep; they have just robbed a bank and need somewhere to hide, so they tell Ruth they are TV technicians. When Bongart comes along to pick up Ruth, naturally having no idea what is going on, the two gangsters tie him up and stash him under the bed. Shortly afterwards he is joined there by Daniela, because Karl has arrived home with her and decides at once that he has to hide her from Ruth. The gangsters quickly realise what is going on and manage to play Ruth and Karl off against each other. This results in the misunderstandings piling up creating a hectic finale where all is finally revealed.
