Angola. Sweltering heat. Parched acacia trees. A group of mine sweepers is working in a sealed-off area to clean the region from anti-personnel mines. Nina Schneider and her partner Fabian are part of the group. While Fabian has gone off to fetch a prodder, Nina relaxes for a minute to take a breather and steps on a mine – which will detonate as soon as she steps off and most likely will kill her. Her colleagues try to get closer to her moving carefully across the mined ground while Mason her hated training supervisor who is risking his own life to defuse the mine. While she anxiously awaits her fate she reflects upon her life. A life that could be over with one false move.
