Lakeview Cottage tells a love story in four episodes in a wonderful setting: the foothills of the Alps in Bavaria, Chiemgauer country. Initial attraction between the vet from Breton, Michel Camus and interior designer Sylvia Fabian, a divorced mother with an adolescent son, gradually develops into trust and intimacy - feelings which need to be stable as well as strong, since neither of these individuals is in the first flush of youth any longer. Several misunderstandings and challenges have to be dealt with before it becomes apparent that they are united by more than a common love for nature and horses.
