Horst, a powerful and good-natured man in his late 30s, is the manager and doorman of a discotheque. During the day Horst has his work cut out looking after his 17-year-old daughter Desiree, who has been the most important person in his life ever since he and his wife broke up. One day in a disco Horst meets Jenny, an attractive young woman from a better family who works as a dental technician. Horst’s physical strength and charisma seemed to exert a magical attraction on Jenny, and before long the two of them are in a romantic relationship. Love swiftly leads to dependency, followed by mutual hurt and humiliation which becomes a torment. Jenny demands that Horst devote himself to her... to the increasing exclusion of his daughter. Soon Jenny and Horst are unable to separate, despite the fact that they are both suffering from their relationship. The intricate demands of this sadomasochistic relationship become increasingly ominous.
