For the past thirty years Juliane Kostner (Gaby Dohm) relishes her life as
the head of acquisitions in the haute couture section of a luxury department
store. Her only daughter Henrike (Tina Ruland), the mother of the twins Nils
(Benjamin Seidel) and Sarah (Emelie Kundrun), doesn’t share her life style.
Instead, she favors healthy nourishment and eco-clothes. When Henrike falls ill and
must spend some months in a hospital, grandma is asked by her husband Martin
(Florian Fitz) to help look after the twins. But Juliane is anything but a
mindful grandparent. She forgets to pick Sarah up at school, lets Nils stuff
himself with junkfood, and neglects her work at the department store as well – to
the point of messing up an order and losing her job. With the help of the
friendly eco-neighbor Johann (Rüdiger Vogler), however, she wins even the heart of
Henrike as a grandmother worth having around …
