The Tyrolian radio station Radio Kaisertal has a regular feature: “Dream Couple of the Week”. This involves the presenter turning up unexpectedly at the front door, and on this occasion he catches Hans (Henning Baum) and Vera (Tina Ruland). The presenter (Michael Lott) not only brings half the village with him but is also accompanied by astrologist Monsieur Pascal (Christian Kohlund), who presents them with their horoscope of love. In this case he remarks with a curiously enigmatic expression that the combination of Taurus (Hans) and Libra (Vera) is extremely… interesting. Hans and Vera have known each other since nursery school and been inseparable all the time - but they have never got married. And now they are faced with a real dilemma, because if they both announce now, live on radio, that they will get married in the next month, then the station will give them a wonderful wedding. Faced with this pressure, Hans really does propose to Vera. Naturally one part of the rather hurried wedding preparations is a stag night. And Hans’ friends decided to test his loyalty to Vera by securing the services of a certain Madame Angélique for him. He declines, but thanks to a series of coincidences Vera gets the impression that her fiancé really did spend the night with another woman. The wedding is cancelled, and the scandal - broadcast live, of course - is perfect! But Hans vows never to rest until he has proved his innocence to Vera...
