Inspector Mehmet Özakin (Erol Sander) is the kind of Turkish version of pressure, permanently fighting on two fronts at the same time: he battles crime in this city of 15 million inhabitants but also has two struggle against bureaucracy and very inefficiency that seems in endemic here. Nevertheless, he sells his cases with Southern charm and Mediterranean flair. The investigation of the mysterious murder of a German journalist whose body is found in the room in the Roman cistern of Yerebatan Sarayi takes him and his assistant Mustafa Tombul (Oscar Ortega Sanchez) into the tourist milieu of Istanbul, and from there to the Agean. In the form of German journalist Monika Adler (Christine Neubauer), a former friend and colleague of the murdered woman, Inspector Özakin finds a worthy opponent who is mounting an investigation of her own. The investigation throws up a number of confusing clues -- and at all the lines of enquiry ultimately lead to nothing. Will Inspector Özakin managed to solve this case?
