Three guests in a luxury hotel: the well-respected managing director of a computer company, an actor known to be a ladies’ man, and a murderer wearing glasses who has calculated that a hotel room provides the perfect setting for the murder of his victim, a Chinese politician who is just passing through. By chance the three men end up in the wrong rooms. Which is how it happens that the call girl who has been expected by the actor appears in the room of the murderer, the businesswoman who intends to visit the managing director comes to see the actor, and the businessman’s actual wife, who turns up unexpectedly to join her husband, suddenly finds herself in the same room as the call girl and the murderer. As events proceed the murderer, whose glasses are broken in the confusion, finds himself unable to commit his intended crime. He therefore decides to flee, leaving behind him several confused hotel guests, a number of policemen driven almost insane with rage and 12 absolutely bewildered Chinese politicians.
