Judith Kemp (Jennifer Nitsch), an unattached mother, has her hands full with
two children and a job as a star lawyer in a legal firm. Forced to divide her
time between job and family, everyone comes up short: the children Julia
(Roxanne Borski) and Marco (Marc Metzger), her doctor friend Susanne Blau (Julia
Richter), and her boss Stephan Walther (Gunter Berger), who demands more
attention from Judith than just her working hours. Her code of moral decency is
challenged when she meets little Eva Traber (Soraya-Antoinette Richter), whose
father (Mario Irrek) has run off and whose mother (Gesine Cukrowski) can barely
make ends meet. While fighting for the rights of Eva and her siblings, Judith
manages to right some of the wrongs in her own private life.
