Anna Christeiner (Christine Neubauer) lives with her little daughter Elise (Ronja Forcher) and her mother Zensi (Veronika Fitz) in the Alpine village of Hohenfels in East Tirol. She can make ends meet by renting guest rooms and
selling land produce. But when Mayor Stadlhuber (Alexander Held) threatens to ruin this idyllic region by building a high-ski-lift, she refuses to sell the piece of land needed to complete the project. Johannes Wallner (Sascha Hehn) is sent by the construction engineer to help persuade Anna to change her mind. Fifteen years ago, Johannes had left Hohenfels after a quarrel with his mother Leni (Julia Gschnitzer) and brother Markus (Timothy Peach). But when he discovers the true nature of the project, that the mayor and engineer really want to
build a ski-circus on the spot, he joins Anna in her fight to save the region from being so ravaged. A romance ensues – until Johannes discovers that Anna and
Markus share a past indiscretion …
