A mysterious child, a young married couple with a great many problems, and a sect which lays claim to not only the money but also the souls of those who enter it: these are the ingredients of a thriller which takes its protagonists from Rome to Berlin on a voyage of discovery, a gruesome and dangerous journey into the world of this sect and its seductive power. The fictitious story of Oscar and Alice as narrated in this film is based on research conducted over many months by the director, Cinzia TH Torrini, and her co-author Silvia Napolitano into a wide variety of sects in Italy, France and Germany.
