This story has been "completely invented but happens daily in our country": the criminal investigation department and cartel officers appear in the main office of a raw-material factory for synthetic material. They read the documents, secure material, discover price-lists which, of course, are coded. They suspect illegal discussions concerning the prices with the apparent rivalbusiness, their suspicion concentrates and even is confirmed, although there is no proof.
Bernd Schmiedel, a sales manager of the firm, started this action after getting hints. Schmiedel's firm has increased its prices by 15% after discussing this with the competitive company and Schmiedel had to make this fact clear to his agents and costumers in order to achieve the highest possible profit, since there was no other possible way. Schmiedel decided to give a hint to the cartel-office although feeling a conflict between loyality to his employer and the society.
