The Boss from the West
1988

Harry, a successful industrial manager in Cologne in his early 40th, meets Jessica, a young crane operatress form East Berlin, while on a business trip in the GDR. Jessica starts an affaire with "The Boss from the West" who isn't really unhappily married himself. On the vecation of her grandmother's 80th birthday, Jessica gets unplanned, visit Harry.
Complications raise!
Subtlety ironical storys of affairs which do not work for this or that reason are closest to Vivian Naefe's heart. In the most recent film of this directress from Munich, the story, like in her TV hit "Ticket to Rome" revalues around a man and a woman who truly love each other but fail to comprehend the other "The script is by Klaus Poche, Vivian Naefe declares but it could as well have been written by myself and that's why Iwanted to do the film."
Alexander Radzun, who was have seen in TV's "Summer in Lesmona" plays the title role while Barbara Auer portrays Jessica. For the young actress who was discovered by Vivian Naefe in Christel Buschmann's "Felix", thhis is her premiere in the boob tube.
