Top Prize: Mauritius (1991)

Fiete Hansen discovers the huge sum of 2.3 million German marks in his bank account. This surprise deeply annoys the lucky chap who never makes a mistake. Fiete tries his utmost to get rid of the wrongly begotten riches and this gets him into big trouble. But what the innocent civil servant cannot possibly know is that the money was meant as a bribe for a politician. The more Fiete tries to wipe the state clean, the deeper he sinks into the mire of financial manipulation and corruption. Our local hero cannot get rid of the money and what's more, he falls for the chief accountant's girlfriend, singer Gradizzi.
