As a sports doctor, Conny Knipper places far more significance on feet and reflex zones than on boring X-ray machines: in the end his healing hands have proven themselves against more traditional methods.
In “Winners and Losers” Conny Knipper has agreed to act as a replacement for an older colleague who has fallen sick - and soon begins to hope that he may have a secure future as a doctor with a permanent practice. However, there are others who have their eyes on this particular position... The young swimmer Suzanne has decided that she wants to be on the winning side. She is a top-class athlete, but in one-to-one contests with her fellow club swimmer Katja she always comes second. It seems that her hour has finally come when an injury threatens Katja’s involvement in the championships, and Suzanne gets to know Conny’s rival Dr. Hartwig. Katja resolves to place her trust in Conny’s healing hands... while Suzanne encounters the questionable delights of dope in sports. The championship race takes an unexpected turn.
