Professor Robert von Reichenbach (Peter Sattmann) is an astronomer and the director of the Berlin Observatory. While he enjoys considerable respect among fellow scientists, his dry lectures hardly convey to the general public the fascination of the outer space in all its endless glory. In order to save the observatory from sinking into oblivion, his colleague Dr. Merschmann (Ulrich von Dobschütz) hires an astrologer, Lena Moosbach (Anica Dobra). It is hoped that the popularity of her horoscopes will brighten up the dusty image of the observatory. The professor’s new colleague absolutely bubbles with charm and vivacity - but as well as feeling that he should have been consulted, Robert also considers that the scientific integrity of his institute is being compromised by Lena’s astrological mumbo-jumbo. There is no place in his world for superstitious rubbish, or for Lena Moosbach herself! And when the chaotic Lena accidentally deletes all the data on Robert’s computer, it is the final straw. But now she invites Robert to dinner by way of apology, and although the two of them could hardly be more different, there is something which denied them: a passion for the stars...
