NANCY AND FRANK links a passionate love story with road-movie elements in the melting pot metropolis of New York.
The movie was shot on original location sites in New York City, Cape Cod, and in Cologne. It is produced in English for the international market and stars outstanding actors from Germany and the USA. In the lead roles are newcomer Frances Anderson as the Hungarian-born student and the screen idol Hardy Krüger Jr. (ASTERIX AND OBELIX VERSUS CAESAR) as the German businessman. A trans-Atlantic flair is provided by the celebrated film stars Robert Wagner and Gottfried John.
NANCY AND FRANK is directed by the awarded Wolf Gremm (FABIAN, KAMIKAZE 1989), who together with Jonathan Brett adapted the novel "Beyond the Horizon" by Hans Werner Kettenbach (Diogenes-Verlag). Screenwriter Jonathan Brett, husband of director Susan Seidelman (DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN), previously collaborated on a successful Ziegler Film production: THE DUTCH MASTER, nominated for an Oscar.
NANCY AND FRANK is scheduled to premiere in Germany in spring 2001 - distributed by Warner Bros.
